When Should I Move Premium Hours Forward or Backward?
This option should only be used when an employee works a schedule that
runs past midnight and is assigned to multiple premium pay polices.
Example: There are three premium
pay policies, "7:00 - 15:00," "15:00 - 23:00" and
"23:00 - "07:00." The
employee works from 20:00 to 08:00 the following morning. In
order for the employee to receive the premium from the "07:00 - 15:00"
policy for the one hour from 07:00 to 08:00, the "07:00 - 15:00"
premium pay code must have the "Current Day to the Following Day"
option selected. If an employee is assigned to a Pay Period that begins
on the previous day, an overtime policy scheduled for "23:00 - 07:00"
must have the "Previous Day to the Current Day" option selected.
