Time & Attendance Punches
The following instructions
walk you through creating a basic time & attendance punch at the clock
(with no job, task or departmental information).
The current date and time
is displayed at the top of the screen. The Card
Number and Employee
Pin sections are displayed below.
The
Card Number field is highlighted
by default. The card number must be specified before any other punch options
can be selected. Enter your card number by either clicking on the appropriate
numbers from the keypad graphic located in the right-hand section of the
screen, or by typing the number at the keyboard. When the correct card
number has been specified, your name will appear at the top of the screen.
Click
on the Employee Pin
field. Enter your pin number by either clicking on the appropriate numbers
from the keypad graphic, or by typing the numbers at the keyboard.
If
you would like to specify this punch as either an "In" or "Out"
punch, select the desired radio button.
Note: The TimeForce system automatically determines the
in/out order of your punches. This step is not required.
If
you would like to specify this punch as a "Lunch," "Break"
or "Normal" punch, select the desired radio button.
When
you have entered the required punch information, click on the green "ENTER"
button on the keypad graphic, or press the <ENTER> key on the keyboard.
- A "Processing" message will appear
briefly. When the punch has been accepted, a message will appear stating
the employee name and punch date/time. Click on the [OK] icon to close
the message box.
Your time & attendance punch has been created successfully. If
you receive a message stating "The Pin entered was incorrect,"
check the pin number and try again. A message which reads "You do
not have rights to clock on this device" means that you have not
been given permission to use this clock in the TimeForce software. Consult
your supervisor.
