Using Multiple Pay Groups
Although with the "Allow
employees to be assigned to multiple pay groups" option enabled the
system will allow for multiple Pay Group assignments, it is important
to keep the settings of each group in mind when making additional assignments.
It is not advised to assign
employees to multiple Pay Groups with different Pay Period, Holiday Lists,
Departments, or Supervisors assigned.
This is due to the fact
that the last applied and/or updated Pay Group will propagate its policies
to its employees, possibly overwriting the intended policy/department/supervisor
assignments.
The system is designed
to work this way, but issues may occur when using multiple Pay Group assignments
if you are not mindful of the settings and policies already specified. |
