Schedule Rule Start/Stop Windows

In certain circumstances, issues can occur in the system when the start/stop window of a Schedule Rule is excessively large.

Issues can range from hours being pushed to the wrong day, lunches not being deducted (or deducting twice), and issues with punch rounding.

It is a good idea to use a standard maximum window length when setting up your Schedule Rules. Ideally, the start and stop windows of your Schedule Rules should not exceed 25% of the total shift length.

Also, windows should never overlap. This includes Meal Windows. Start and stop windows may need to be adjusted in situations where a larger Meal Window is required.

Taking these simple setup precautions will assure that no errors in hours calculations occur when your Schedule Rules are applied to your employees.
